With the original 1860’s structure being neglected for decades this home, situated along Kingston Lake, was the new owner’s favorite house growing up in Conway. Their dream became reality when they were able to purchase the home and give it the love it had been missing since its original owner. The home was lifted and moved away from the river, and set back onto a new brick foundation. The interior was gutted and a new floor layout was used to bring the home up to current family living. Existing materials were reused throughout the home, and custom woodworking was used for elements that could not be restored such as the front door. The entire exterior of the home was painstakingly restored including the porch railing, columns, doors, windows, siding, soffit, and trims. Where material could not be restored similar wood was used in its place to blend with the existing.
